Mr Mahantesh Karoshi is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and Women’s Health Expert. He practices both in the NHS and in the private consulting rooms at Harley Street. He brings a wide and specialist skillset to his patients. Mr Karoshi is a firm believer in educating his patients as best as he can, to contribute to achieving the best possible clinical and holistic outcomes. By taking this approach, he enables and empowers his patients, whilst addressing their issues and concerns.

Mr Karoshi’s approach to patients’ problems is built on dedication and passion, drawing on analytical thinking as well as on time honoured reading, teaching medical professionals nationally and internationally.

Mr Karoshi prides himself on running a private practice where there is an extremely high standard of professionalism, where patients are directly involved in their care and management in all stages, and where new techniques and advances play a central role.

He actively engages in research, and frequently presents new findings at professional conferences. Since 2013 he has been a Co-Convenor for the Annual Masterclass in the Management of Massive Postpartum Haemorrhage at the RCOG, London. He graduated in 1994 in India, undertook specialist training in the United Kingdom, and was appointed Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 2010 at Barnet Hospital.

From 2001 to 2005, he was a Clinical Research Fellow in Reproductive Medicine Unit at the Fertility Unit of North Middlesex University Hospital where he developed expertise and gained hands-on experience in follicular tracking, ovulation induction, formulating management plans and intrauterine inseminations.

He was a Research Associate in 2004 at Northwestern University’s Multiple Births Foundation in Chicago, with Prof. Louis Keith. In 2007 he worked as a volunteer obstetrician in Ethiopia. This role covered all aspects of obstetric and gynaecological emergencies. This gave him an opportunity to work with limited resources whilst achieving the best outcomes.

In 2010, Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, London awarded him the prestigious Bernhard Baron Travelling Fellowship. This gave him the opportunity to work in the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, on the techniques involved in the advanced surgical management of morbidly adherent placental disorders. A serious condition that can happen in women with multiple caesarean sections.
He is also currently a tutor for the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists at Barnet Hospital. This position enables him to make a direct contribution to specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Mr Karoshi is fortunate to work with leading and caring professionals in obstetrics and gynaecology, in national health institutions, private practice, and academia worldwide. His high level of training, holistic approach and extensive research ensures that he is able to provide the highest standards of care and treatment to all his patients.

Karoshi is an avid runner and a believer in vegetarianism. He practices meditation for relaxation, to build internal energy, and to develop his compassion and patience.
